3 Ways to Prepare Oatmeal - Just Spices

3 Ways to Prepare Oatmeal

Posted on August 27 2018 by

Oatmeal has been among our breakfast favorites for a while now and today we share three of our favorite ways to prepare it: Traditional, Very-Berry, and Coconut. A complete treat for your taste buds, oatmeal is the perfect way to start your morning.

Also, we just lose it when it comes to presentation, foodwise at least. So it's no surprise that oatmeal decor holds a special place in our hearts. I mean, who doesn't love an Instagram worthy pic? We don't know if we should eat it or admire it! We'll eat it... most definitely.

Now let's get to it! Our recipes serve 1 bowl and take about 7 minutes each. Feel free to alter the ingredients according to your taste and serves.

Traditional Oatmeal

What You'll Need

What to Do

  1. In a pot, add the oatmeal, the almond milk and a pinch of JS Oatmeal Spice Blend. Turn on the heat and stir occasionally. Once it starts to boil, turn the heat down to low and stir well until reaching a creamy consistency.
  2. Once the oatmeal is ready, serve it into a bowl and get ready for the best part: toppings! This is totally optional, but feel free to add some sliced banana, coconut flakes, chia seeds, cocoa nibs, and sprinkle JS Blossom Mix for absolute perfection.

Very-Berry Oatmeal

What You'll Need

What to Do

  1. In a pot, add the oatmeal, the almond milk, a couple of berries, and a pinch of JS Oatmeal Spice Blend. Turn on the heat and stir occasionally. Once it starts to boil, turn the heat down to low and stir well until reaching a creamy consistency.
  2. Once the oatmeal is ready, serve it into a bowl, add the remaining berries, and sprinkle JS Blossom Mix.

Coconutty Oatmeal

What You'll Need

What to Do

  1. In a pot, add the oatmeal, the coconut milk, and a pinch of JS Oatmeal Spice Blend. Turn on the heat and stir occasionally. Once it starts to boil, turn the heat down to low and stir well until reaching a creamy consistency.
  2. Once the oatmeal is ready, serve it into a bowl and pour the coconut oil over it to give an extra coco taste. Add the coconut flakes, almond flakes the banana and sprinkle JS Blossom Mix.

There really are no limits when it comes to toppings. We just can't get enough! Can we combine all these recipes into one? Which is your favorite topping?
