Spice up your Quick Bruschetta!
½ cup of fresh basil leaves, divided
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 lb. fresh tomatoes, chopped
1 loaf ciabatta bread (approx. 11 oz.), cut into 1-inch-thick slices
1 garlic clove, cut in half
Salt and pepper
1-½ tsp. Bruschetta (Seasoning Blend)
Heat the oven to 400°F.
Chop half of the basil, then set it aside.
Mix the olive oil with the salt, pepper and the Bruschetta Seasoning Blend in a medium bowl until well blended.
Add the tomatoes and the chopped basil; mix lightly.
Brush both sides of the bread slices with the remaining oil. Rub evenly with the garlic, then place the bread slices in a single layer on baking sheet.
Bake 5 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the baking sheet from the oven.
Top the bread slices with the tomato mixture and the remaining basil leaves.
