Ingredients
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 lb. ground beef
1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
¼ cup Ketchup
2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
8 hot dogs
8 hot dog buns
1 red onion, chopped
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
2 tsp. Chili con Carne (Seasoning Blend)
Directions
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and Chili con Carne (Seasoning Blend), then cook it for 8 minutes or until the ground beef is evenly browned, stirring it occasionally.
Add the tomato sauce, ketchup and mustard to the browned meat; stir. Reduce the heat to low, then simmer the meat mixture for about 10 minutes to let the flavors meld, stirring occasionally.
Meanwhile, heat your outdoor grill (or a grill pan if you don't have a grill) to medium-high heat. Grill the hot dogs about 2 minutes on each side or until they are evenly grill marked and heated through. Remove the hot dogs from the grill; set aside. Turn the heat off and gently toast the hot dog buns on the warm grill for about 2 minutes or until the cut sides of the buns are lightly toasted.
To serve, place a hot dog in each bun, then top it with the chili, cheese and onions.
