For the Cannelloni
Directions
For the ground beef filling, peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic; cook until translucent. Add the ground beef; cook and stir until evenly browned. Stir in half of the tomato sauce, then season with the Pasta Allrounder. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Cool slightly.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
For the bechamel sauce, melt the butter in a small saucepan. Gradually stir in the flour until well blended. Gradually add the milk while stirring continuously. Simmer for about 2 minutes, stirring continuously. Add the cream cheese; cook and stir until melted.
For the cannelloni, pour the rest of the tomato sauce into a shallow casserole dish. Fill the cannelloni shells with the beef mixture, then place half of the filled cannelloni shells in a single layer in the prepared dish; cover with half of the bechamel sauce. Repeat layers of filled cannelloni shells and sauce. Sprinkle it with Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with the basil before serving.
