Stuffed Pizza Bites with Homemade Salsa
Spice up your Stuffed Pizza Bites with Homemade Salsa!
8 oz. mozzarella cheese
2 cans (13.8 oz. each) refrigerated pizza dough
2 cans (14.5 oz. each) diced tomatoes, drained
1 bunch of fresh basil, chopped
1 Tbsp. olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp. Spicy Pizza Topping
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Cut ⅔ of the cheese into 16 pieces and place in a medium bowl. Add the Spicy Pizza Topping and toss to evenly coat the cheese with the Spicy Pizza Topping.
Roll out each can of the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to a square, then cut each large square into 8 smaller squares.
Top each dough square with a piece of cheese. Wrap the dough around the cheese to completely enclose the cheese, then roll the dough into a ball.
Place the dough balls, with sides touching, on a parchment-covered baking sheet.
Chop the remaining cheese into small pieces; sprinkle it over the dough balls.
Bake for 15 minutes or until the pizza bites are golden brown.
Meanwhile, combine the tomatoes, basil, oil, salt and pepper.
Serve the warm pizza bites with the tomato salsa.
