Directions
Heat the oven to 425°F.
Cut each chicken breast lengthwise in half. Place the chicken slices in a single layer on a cutting board, then cover them with plastic wrap. Use the textured side of a meat mallet to flatten them to a ½-inch thickness.
Pat the chicken slices dry with paper towels, then sprinkle both sides of the chicken slices evenly with the 2 tsp. Chicken Allrounder.
Prepare three shallow pans for coating the chicken: one containing the prepared Flour Mixture, one containing the prepared Egg Mixture and one containing the prepared Breading Mixture.
Dip 1 chicken slice in the Flour Mixture, turning to evenly coat both sides of the slice with the flour mixture. Gently shake off any excess flour mixture from the chicken, then set it aside. Repeat with the remaining chicken slices.
Next, lightly coat both sides of the floured chicken slices, one at a time, evenly with the Egg Mixture. Use your fingers to remove any excess egg mixture from the chicken slices since too much egg mixture can cause the breading to be less crispy.
Finally, generously coat both sides of the chicken slices, one at a time, with the Breading Mixture.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the first batch of the chicken slices, making sure not to overcrowd the chicken slices in the skillet. Cook the chicken 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until both sides of the chicken slices are golden brown. (If the oil gets too hot, reduce the heat slightly, then adjust it again if necessary.)
Use a slotted spatula to transfer the cooked chicken slices from the skillet to a wire cooling rack. Repeat to cook the remaining chicken slices.
Transfer the cooked chicken to a greased large baking sheet; top with the marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
Bake the chicken for 12 minutes or until done. For browned tops, broil the baked chicken for 1 to 2 minutes or until the chicken is browned to desired doneness.
Cooking Tip: You can also serve the Chicken Parmesan in a sandwich. Perfect for a finger food buffet. This recipe can also be prepared in the air fryer.
Note
How to prepare Chicken Parmesan in the Air fryer
If you have an Air fryer, you can easily cook the Chicken Parmesan in it. Prepare the chicken as described above. Air fry the breaded chicken for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through. Then top it with marinara sauce and cheese and air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Already done! Enjoy!
P.s. Don't forget our Chicken Allrounder! You will not regret it.
