How to Pimp up this Easy Summer Salad
Grilled Shrimp Delight:
Take your salad to the next level by adding grilled shrimp. Marinate the shrimp with a blend of olive oil, lime juice, garlic, and your favorite spice. Grill them until cooked and slightly charred, then place them on top of the salad for a protein-packed twist.
Nutty Crunch with Toasted Nuts:
Alternatively add a delightful crunch to your salad by sprinkling toasted pine nuts or sliced almonds on top. Toast the nuts in a dry skillet over medium heat until they turn golden brown. The nutty flavors and crispy texture will elevate the overall dining experience.
Boost the nutritional value of your salad by incorporating cooked quinoa. Prepare the quinoa separately according to the package instructions, let it cool, and then mix it with the other salad ingredients. The quinoa adds a satisfying chewiness and makes the salad more substantial.
